ARCIMBOLDO PORTRAITS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING TEAMWORK

February 15, 2018

Educating the self-concept means helping to build identity, which is realized throughout the life span of the person.

"Identity builds around two questions: Who am I? Who am I in relation to others?

To investigate the theme of identity, self and the other, we will use different expressive languages in order to:

- Encourage creativity as an opportunity for growth and knowledge to enhance the individual path of each child

- To fuel the desire to explore and express themselves.

The lab is the site of creativity and knowledge, experimentation, discovery, and self-learning through the game. It is the privileged place to do, understand, educate, educate and collaborate: a space where you can develop your eyesight and with hands to learn to look at reality with all the senses.

The ability to work as a team with others isn’t just a skill that kids are going to need at school – it’s an essential skill they’ll use for the rest of their life. Just as kids are taught other life skills, they need to be taught how to work as a team effectively. Teachers and parents need to work with children on teamwork, and children of all ages will benefit from learning how to work with others as a part of a team.

Teamwork requires children to work cooperatively with other children towards a purpose that they share. Every member of a team has to respect each other’s opinions and abilities in order for the team to work effectively. Working as a team is very social, involving the exchanging of actions and ideas and a significant amount of interaction.

When children learn to be part of a team, they learn more about interpersonal ways of thinking, improving their ability to communicate with others. Teamwork also helps children feel like a part of a community and can help in all areas of learning. Communication, social, and emotional skills are all strengthened when children learn to work as a team, which can help improve self-esteem and confidence in kids.
